If the evaluation determines that there is a motor function
problem, an Occupational Therapist (OT) will recommend a plan of care. This is not just any plan! The
evaluation results are entered into the EMC Brain, our unique platform. Using artificial intelligence, the
EMC Brain identifies treatments that have had the most success in similar cases. This is one of the tools
used by the OT to create your child’s plan. You will discuss if you are comfortable with the recommended
treatment, or you may want to suggest some changes. Once that’s settled, your child will begin therapy!

Therapy is done in real-time. That means that your child
and the OT will be able to see and hear each other just as if they were meeting in-person. All of our
therapists specialize in working with children, so they know what they are doing! During these sessions,
the OT will utilize fun, interactive age-appropriate activities to develop balance, coordination, gross
motor skills, and strength. The OT will also provide you with tips and guidance on ways to develop those
skills through at-home activities and play. The length of the session can vary depending on your child’s
age and skills needed, as well as what works for your family’s schedule.
